Retro Creature WIP

This is a work in progress creature design, inspired by Stranger Things; more so the need to design an 80s style creature over the design itself.

I'm a big fan of 70s/80s creature movies; all the usual suspects; Alien, Thing, Predator, etc

Aiming for something that has weight, simple in design, aquatic, humanoid. When looking for inspiration, one thing that strikes me about designs today, is that they have become overlay complex. I feel that monster designs that are too complex lose their appeal and scare factor. What ever happened to the creepy guy in a suit! :)
